On Tuesday night, Arsenal drew 0-0 with Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
The result means that the Gunners have now failed to scored in three consecutive Premier League games.
Boring, boring Arsenal? German defender Per Mertesacker seemed to think so!
Mertesacker, who was an unused sub on Tuesday, was caught yawning extravagantly as he watched his teammates try and fail to break the Saints down.
Arsenal have now failed to beat Southampton twice this season, having lost 4-0 at St Mary’s on Boxing Day.
Such failures have seen Arsene Wenger’s men lose their place as Premier League title favourites. That tag now belongs to Manchester City, who sit second – three points behind shock leaders Leicester.
To add insult to injury for Gooners, Arsenal’s draw with Southampton saw them fall to fourth, below fierce local rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who registered a third league win on the spin by beating Norwich City at Carrow Road, where the Gunners could only draw 1-1 in November.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League since 2004 and it is looking increasingly unlikely that they are going to end that barren run this season.

If Arsenal do end the season empty handed, it might well be argued that it is because Wenger failed to gamble on a striker in the either of the past two transfer windows.
Don’t be like Wenger!
